Host–Guest Accommodation Agreement

Template for legal review. This document is intended as a working structure for the direct agreement between host and guest and should be finalised by an Irish solicitor.

4. Payment

The agreed accommodation price is separate from the service fees charged by Rent a House for the Ryder Cup. The final payment method, payment due date, deposit (if any), cancellation terms and refund arrangements must be recorded here. Where the marketplace settlement flow applies, the accommodation payment must be processed through the designated regulated payment-provider marketplace flow. The platform commission is allocated as part of that transaction rather than relying on a later voluntary remittance by either party. The booking is not confirmed until payment has been verified server-side.

Service fees: Guest Accommodation Priority Registration: €150 one-time, payable at registration whether or not a successful accommodation match is ultimately achieved, subject to the final terms and applicable law. Successful Match Commission: Standard 10% from the guest and 10% from the host; Premium 15% from the guest and 15% from the host; or Executive 20% from the guest and 20% from the host, each calculated on the agreed accommodation price and disclosed before liability arises. Host Property Registration Fee: €150 one-time, payable at property registration whether or not the property is ultimately matched, subject to the final terms and applicable law. Host Property Video Assessment & Approval Fee: €150 where requested. These service fees are separate from the accommodation price.

5. Property and facilities

The host agrees to provide the property and advertised facilities for the agreed stay, subject to the final agreement and applicable law.

6. Guest obligations

The guest agrees to comply with the property's reasonable house rules, occupancy limits and agreed use conditions.

7. Damage and incidents

The parties should record any deposit, damage procedure, emergency contact arrangements and process for resolving issues.

8. Our role

Rent a House for the Ryder Cup acts as an independent accommodation matching/intermediary service and is not the accommodation provider, property manager, occupier or operator of the property. The accommodation contract is between host and guest.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept responsibility for the provision, operation, maintenance, condition or occupation of the accommodation, or for loss, damage, injury, accident, theft or interruption arising from the host–guest accommodation relationship, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits any liability, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Digital acceptance and signatures

The parties may complete this agreement electronically using the booking process. The final system record should record the agreement version, the parties’ acceptance of the applicable Host and Guest Terms & Conditions, the date/time of acceptance and any electronic signature or typed-name acceptance used. The final electronic process should be reviewed by an Irish solicitor before launch.
