County Limerick · From Adare House to the present estate
The present Adare Manor grew from an earlier Georgian house. Windham Henry Quin, 2nd Earl of Dunraven, and Lady Caroline Wyndham began the major transformation in 1832, with work continuing for decades.
The result was a Neo-Gothic country house of extraordinary scale and detail. Adare Manor remained a family home into the twentieth century before entering a new chapter as a luxury estate and resort.
